Uses: Shoot arrows, splash potions, fire charges, snowballs, bottles 'o' enchanting, and eggs at enemies/ mobs/ yourself; summon mods from spawn eggs; give you items; put minecarts directly on a rail and boats into water at the push of a button; bert 30; dispense lit TNT; launch fireworks; dispense and un dispense water and lava

Dropper

Uses: Transferring items into chests or other containers; giving you items, does not shoot projectiles; less expensive than hopper, but needs a redstone signal to activate.

Piston

Uses: Pushing blocks; good for traps and many other things; can only push a max of 12 blocks in any direction.

Sticky Piston

Uses: Same as piston, but can also pull blocks.

Hopper

Uses: Trasport items to/ from chests or other containers, without a redstone signal.

Redstone Lamp

Uses: Light up places; powered by redstone; can be turned on and off.

Daylight Detector

Uses: Emits redstone signal when it is day, can be inverted into a night time sensor; much more efficient lamps.
